Forest- A National Forest
with day hikes of varied lengths. We can
direct you to the Information Center.
Carl Sandburg Home
(Connemara)- Over 200 acres
connected to this National Historic
Site. Short hikes to perfectly
beautiful vistas of the area.
FENCE
(Foothills Equestrian and Nature Center) -
Located in nearby Tryon, this center
has delightful trails and sometimes-guided
nature walks.
Caesar's Head State
Park- Located about 40 minutes
away in South Carolina are some
wonderful trails and bike paths.

Whitewater- A sport like
kayaking has the magic to take you down
paths you never thought you would
